Find out where your passport can take you. Select your passport below to see every destination you can enter visa-free, with visa on arrival, with an eTA, or with an e-visa. Built from an open, community-maintained passport dataset covering 25 nationalities — not a guess.
How to use the visa-free checker
Pick your passport from the dropdown. The number shown is how many destinations you can enter without arranging a visa in advance — that means visa-free entry plus visa on arrival combined. Use the category tabs to narrow the list to just visa-free countries, just e-visa destinations, and so on, or search for a specific country.
Which passports this covers, and where the data comes from
This checker currently covers 25 nationalities — the countries our readers hold passports from most often, including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, and the major Western, Gulf, and Asian passports. It runs on an open-source, community-maintained passport dataset (the Passport Index Matrix), not a proprietary feed, last compiled in January 2025. Treat it as a strong starting point rather than the last thing you check — entry rules change often enough, and in enough small ways, that no third-party tool should be the final word before you book a flight. Where a destination shows a day count, that is the maximum stay allowed without a visa arranged in advance; it is not a guarantee of entry, which is always at the discretion of the border officer.

Frequently asked questions
What does “visa-free” actually mean?
Visa-free means you can enter the destination for short stays without applying for a visa beforehand. You still need a valid passport, and you may need proof of onward travel or funds, but there is no visa application or fee for the allowed period shown.
What is the difference between visa on arrival, eTA, and e-visa?
Visa on arrival means you get the visa at the border when you land, usually for a fee. An eTA (electronic travel authorisation) is a quick online pre-approval you complete before you fly. An e-visa is a full visa you apply for online in advance and receive electronically before travelling.
Is the visa-free checker accurate and up to date?
The data is built from a well-maintained open passport dataset, last compiled in January 2025. Entry rules change often, so treat the checker as a planning guide rather than legal advice, and always confirm the current requirement with the destination’s official embassy or immigration website before you travel.
My passport is not in the list. Why?
We started with the 25 nationalities our readers hold most often. If yours is missing, tell us and we will prioritise adding it — the underlying dataset covers nearly every passport in the world, so it is a question of when, not whether.
Does visa-free entry let me work in the destination country?
No. Visa-free, visa on arrival, and most e-visas cover tourism and short visits only, not employment. If you plan to work, you almost always need a separate work visa.
