Writes and reviews every guide on this site — visa requirements, scholarship eligibility, and the free planning tools — checking each figure against its government or funder source before it publishes. Every article byline links back to this page.
Why this site exists
Most visa information online is either an unofficial blog repeating outdated numbers, or a government page written for officers rather than applicants. AbroadPilot exists to close that gap: take the actual rule from the actual government source — IRCC, GOV.UK, USCIS, the Home Office fee schedule — and explain it in plain English, with the source linked so you can verify it yourself.
How we verify what we publish
The short version is below. For the full standard — what counts as a source, what “checked as of” actually means, and how re-checking works — see How We Verify Our Guides.
- Every fee, processing time, and eligibility rule is checked against the official government page for that country, not a third-party summary.
- Guides state the month we last checked the figure, because visa fees and rules change without much warning — a number that was true in January can be wrong by September.
- Where a government does not publish a fixed figure (many countries do not set a single tuition or living-cost number), we say so directly instead of inventing one to look complete.
- Our free tools — the Refusal Risk Self-Assessment, Proof of Funds Calculator, and others in our tools section — run on the same verified figures as the written guides, not a separate, unchecked dataset.
What AbroadPilot is not
We are a publisher, not a visa agency, law firm, or immigration consultancy. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and no article or tool can guarantee a visa outcome — that decision belongs to the consular officer reviewing your file. We link to the official government portal on every guide so you can confirm the current rule and apply directly, without paying an unofficial “agent.”

Corrections
Immigration rules change often, and we do not catch every update the moment it happens. If you find a figure on this site that no longer matches the official source, tell us through the contact page and we will check it and correct it.
